Watercolor Workshop
Painting with watercolors is a unique experience that allows artists to create luminous, delicate, and layered effects not easily achievable with other painting mediums. In this 3-hour workshop, join award-winning artist and teacher Mary Jane Erard to learn several watercolor techniques. Various types of paintbrushes will be discussed, and unique uses of each will be demonstrated. On a tester watercolor paper, students will try out these techniques and brushes to see what they can create. You will learn techniques to preserve the white of the paper and examples of why one would use these techniques. This class is for beginners and more experienced artists who wish to broaden their knowledge of this medium. Students may bring their own photos or use the reference images provided by the instructor to create a small finished painting or two.
All supplies are included, but students may bring their own supplies.
This workshop is non-refundable after registration and requires a minimum of 3 students. Recommended for ages 18+
