Summer Art Adventure Camp - Through The Decades - Ages 9-13

Over the course of this one-week camp, we'll embark on a time-traveling escapade through the decades, spanning the exhilarating Roaring 20s all the way to the trendy 2000s. Get ready to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of each era as we draw inspiration from defining events, pop culture phenomena, mouthwatering food trends, and iconic styles. Picture yourself crafting a mixed media moon landing inspired by the awe-inspiring 60s space race, tie-dye art reminiscent of the 70s, or even fashioning your very own pet rock, a quirky 70s trend that became a cultural sensation. And let's not forget the innovative twist of repurposing old CDs and vinyl records!

We only use the highest quality 2D and 3D mediums to give your child the best art experience. Our art instructors are graduates of the University of Michigan School of Art and Design and have studied abroad at SACI in Florence, Italy.

Camp runs from 9 am to 4 pm Monday-Friday. Please check your camper in by 8:55 am. Pick up promptly at 4 pm. We do not offer before or after care for campers.

Parking is located in the lot behind the studio and limited parking on Michigan Avenue at the front entrance to the studio.

Campers should bring a nut-free lunch, 2 snacks, and a refillable water bottle with a lid. Campers’ first and last names should be on all personal belongings. Food may not be shared among campers.

Campers should bring sunblock, sneakers, and sun hats for outside break time, weather permitting.

The paint we use can leave stains, so campers should wear old clothing or bring along a smock or an old t-shirt that may be left at the studio. Campers should also wear comfortable closed toed shoes.

On the last day of camp, parents are invited to the studio at 3 pm for an “art show.” This is a special time for campers to share their work with their parents, grandparents, siblings, etc., and an opportunity for you to speak to our instructors.

We welcome all aspiring artists of all ages and abilities. However, if your child requires additional assistance or needs individualized attention, please call the studio before you register. Thank you.

Please carefully review our cancellation/transfer policies. https://whitepinestudios.org/art-adventure-camps/
